Lady Tazz will release the first instalment of her ‘Hermanas’ compilation series later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to Amanda Mussi’s contribution ‘La Hora Caliente’ below.
Arriving this Friday (27th September) via her Mind Medizin imprint, ‘Part One’ takes in five club-wise cuts from rising producers in the South American underground, including Milena Adamis, RUIZ OSC1, Victoria Mussi, Amanda Mussi, and Lady Tazz herself. High-speed drums, turbocharged basslines and intense techno textures are in full flow across the release, which encourages listeners to “cut loose, be whoever they want to be and release their inner kink”.
“This is a very special various artist release for me,” Lady Tazz shared. “The rich and diverse sounds of South America have been a profound source of inspiration for me; it’s been a blessing. I wanted to place all the wonderful ladies who inspire me and have been making bold moves with respect to their musical careers into one beautiful release. It’s an absolute pleasure to bring them all onto the label. This VA, as the name explains it, is for the Sisters.”
Our pick of the bunch is ‘La Hora Caliente’ from São Paulo’s Amanda Mussi: a funked-up techno workout with sprightly pads, shuffling drum work and a groove that just won’t quit.
‘Lady Tazz presents Hermanas (Part One)’ is out 27th September via Mind Medezin. Pre-order the compilation here, and have an exclusive first listen to Amanda Mussi’s contribution ‘La Hora Caliente’ below.
