Jay Lumen is readying a new two-tracker under his Avalon Child alias, ‘My Beat’. Listen to the title track below.
Launched last summer with a debut EP on MOXY MUSIK, the project signals a return to the Hungarian DJ and producer’s house roots, prioritising big-room beats, stomping percussion and terse, techy grooves. Lumen continues to crank up the energy on sophomore release, ‘My Beat’, arriving 17th January, which features a soaring new house heater, alongside a garage-infused remix of Lumen’s 2024 single, ‘Alive’.
“I created this alias as I didn’t want to hold back the tracks that I’ve made in the past anymore,” the artist shared. “I refreshed them for my actual taste, and I want to share them with people all around. As a producer, I love to be coloured and to be on a wide spectrum...”
The two-tracker will mark the first release on Lumen’s brand new PLAYGROUND imprint, which he describes as a “hub for innovation and a home for forward-thinking artists from across the globe.”
