Premiere: Byron Yeates & Spray ‘Trip To Eclipse’

Byron Yeates will release a new EP, ‘Time Machine’, later this week via Radiant Records. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Trip To Eclipse’, with Spray, below.

Two years on from his debut solo release, 2022’s ‘Sweat Your Prayers’, the Galway-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer returns with its strobing four-track successor. Much like that project, ‘Time Machine’ is a rallying call to the dancefloor, enriched with the euphoric energy of the La Noche club nights he co-runs with THC and DHC – during which Yeates’ frequently commands the decks – and coalescing facets of hard-house, ’90s-infused techno, trance, prog and more.

Sumptuous stabs and pads float above a stormy low-end on opener ‘Liquid Sky’, a flirty club weapon of epic proportions, before A2 ‘Hyper-Hyper’ amps up the groove with vintage house textures and a deconstructed diva vocal. On the flip, the label head chisels strands of 90s tech, trance and euro house into a contemporary, hi-def mover, proving himself to be a master of sultry club sounds.

To round out the EP, Yeates teams up with fellow Irish prog auteur Spray for the tunnelling ‘Trip To Eclipse’. Here, dreamy synthwork mingles with Spray’s signature chuggy bass for a refined trance-not-trance gem.

Catch Byron Yeates going b2b2b with fellow La Noche co-founders DHC & THC at Barcelona’s Nitsa Club later this week to celebrate the release.

‘Time Machine’ is out 3rd May on Radiant. Pre-order the EP digitally here and on vinyl here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Trip To Eclipse’ below.
