Detroit label Silencio has put out a string of classy house and techno bombs of late, with Kepler, Laughing Man and Wave Particle Singularity just some of those who’ve repped the imprint with distinction. Their latest effort, ‘Uno’ is a 6-track affair that features more delectable dancefloor cuts, with Click Box & Stefan Dichev’s ‘Memories’ arguably the pick of the lot.
Clocking in at almost eight minutes long, its sci-fi ethos and minimal persuasion is littered with groove and swing from the off. Undoubtedly an effort that’s best suited to big systems, it’s full of suspense and mood throughout, epitomised by the eerie vocal strands that crop up around the half-way mark.
Sure to be a hit with adventurous DJs a la Ricardo Villalobos and Raresh, it’s further proof of the label’s burgeoning stature in the house and techno scene. A return to form for Click Box especially (we were wondering what he’s been up to his appearances on Minus a few years back), ‘Memories’ is a hazy number that’s sure to leave an impression on many a dancefloor over the next while.
Listen to our exclusive premiere of ‘Memories’ below and be sure to listen out for the full release when it drops on 6th November on Silencio.
