Rarely do I see an idea challenge so fleshed out as MZG, quick for “monozygotic,” made up similar twins Zach and Charles Weinert. Their new EP referred to as Cell Division is one other clear instance a theme made actual, particularly when you think about the monitor titles therein are all named after precise phases cell division.
Near to the tip is “Anaphase,” the blistering retro/future lure tune representing the fourth out 5 phases cell division. Beginning with a collection claps and a primary melody, the lead synth grows in depth till the drop when it’s all unleashed. The kind LoFi drop makes for a really retro sounding ambiance whereas the drums nonetheless preserve it geared towards extra trendy tempos. The result's an odd amalgam sounds, not not like… anaphase cell division.
