Ketiov is gearing up to release a new EP, ‘The Art of Structure’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to lead single ‘Structure’ below.
Following the release of Vol. 4 of his ‘Rhythm Trainx’ EP series last month, the Polish DJ and producer, best known for his projects 3 Channels and Catz ’N Dogz, returns with four cheeky, clubland bangers for Moxie’s On Loop label. The project – landing this week (23rd May) – is the product of a longstanding friendship between the duo, who since bonding over their shared love for New York house dubs, have shared countless line-ups and studio sessions.
As a result, ‘The Art of Structure’ is brimming with dancefloor dynamism, from the unstoppable house grooves of ‘I Luv U’ and ‘The Dub’, to the musing synths and stylish percussion of lead single ‘Structure’ – premiering below.
“For my second [On Loop] release, I wanted to create an EP that reflects all the club music styles I’ve been into lately,” Ketiov shared. “It was all about subtle changes, smart arrangement choices, and finding the most effective ways to create a hypnotic impact on the dancefloor.
“I was really focused on exploring new ways of building tracks and making the most out of simple elements... Less is more,” he continued. “The whole EP draws inspiration from early ‘00s tech house but with a modern twist. Whenever I’m working on an EP for Moxie, I always aim for a versatile approach—each track should work in different settings, giving DJs plenty of ways to play with them.”
Ketiov is the solo alias of DJ and production veteran Wojciech Taranczuk, named after the first parties he ran in hometown Szczecin (Poland) as a burgeoning DJ. When he’s not in the studio, Taranczuk runs CARBS, a community-focused party LGBTQ+ in Madrid, alongside being a resident DJ at fetish party MyPleasure.
‘The Art of Structure’ lands 23rd May via On Loop. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Structure’ below.
