Premiere: Kiara Scuro ‘Zeki’s Dream’

Kiara Scuro are readying the release of their debut EP, ‘Night Crush’, on Faux Poly later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Zeki’s Dream’ below.

On the back of a formidable run of singles and remixes for labels like Armada Music and Ritmo Fatale, the London-based DJ and production duo – made up of Rosie Ama and Nadia (aka ZaaZaa) – unveil three new slinky dancefloor weapons inspired by their “favourite club memories”.

Filled with dark, psyched-out grooves, skanking subs and agile percussion, ‘Night Crush’ – out 6th February – captures the energy and impulses of underground dancefloors at their liveliest, whilst venturing into new and ever mercurial sonic territories.

Our pick of the bunch is closing cut ‘Zeki’s Dream’. A cavernous rhythmic stepper inspired by Nadia’s Lebanese heritage and dedicated to her son, who was born last summer.

“For this EP we took inspiration from our favourite club memories across our 8 year journey as a duo,” Kiara Scuro shared. “As we hadn’t known each other long before we started DJing together, our friendship was formed over hazy nights gigging in some incredible places.

“We used a mixture of our own vocals and samples to conjure up an image of those late night club sets where the mist is flowing from the smoke machine and no one cares what time it is, it’s always Witching Hour,” they added.

‘Night Crush’ is out 6th February via Faux Poly. Pre-order a copy here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Zeki’s Dream’ below.
