SpectraSoul come correct once again with their new 'Silence' EP, featuring certified banger 'Untitled Horn'.
Having made their name as staples of Friction's Shogun Audio label, the London drum & bass duo launched their own Ish Chat imprint in 2016, delivering a slew of EPs and an album — last year's 'How We Live' — since.
Their latest four-tracker also drops on Ish Chat, showcasing their mastery of breathy, soulful production. Opener 'Untitled Horn', however, takes a different approach: ominous, widescreen blasts of brass ring out across the sparse soundscape, before volleys of thumping kicks meet noisy synths and a hard stepping rhythm.
The highly anticipated track has been gathered massive plays throughout the summer, with DJ Mag personally hearing it more times than we can remember at this year's Let It Roll — the world's biggest drum & bass festival.
The full EP drops 28th September, however, pre-ordering via SpectraSoul's Bandcamp will allow you to download 'Untitled Horn' immediately.
