Premiere: u.r.trax (feat. L.FRX) ‘hey phone, can we talk for a minute ?’

Trans-focused media platform ultra rare is releasing its inaugural compilation, ‘left the club, meet me at the post-club’, next week. Have an exclusive first listen to founder u.r.trax’s contribution, ‘hey phone, can we talk for a minute ?’, below.

Founded by the Parisian DJ and producer as a home for sounds situated “at the intersection”, the ultra rare imprint is making its first foray into the world of compilations with a bold, new seven-track release. ‘hey phone, can we talk for a minute ?’ brings together a global cast of producers who dismantle traditional boundaries through their work and identities, exploring cosmic club textures and leftfield patterns across genres of house, amapiano, ghetto tech and beyond.

French producer Hom sets the scene with the speaker-blowing ‘-3’, crafted from a post-club-inspired Max patch the artist coded himself, ahead of a head-twisting gqom mover from Brazil’s JLZ (‘tttt’), Brooklyn based swaya’s latest percussive excursion, ‘fear screams’, and label founder u.r.trax’s deconstructed post-ghetto banger ‘hey phone, can we talk for a minute ?’, featuring Paris-based multidisciplinary artist L.FRX. Other featured artists include Estonia’s Hugo Mesi, and rising French footwork star Le Kaiju, amongst others.

‘left the club, meet me at the post-club’ is out 21st June via ultra rare. Pre-order the compilation here, and have an exclusive first listen to founder u.r.trax’s contribution, ‘hey phone, can we talk for a minute ?’, below.
