Since launching Ilian Tape in 2007, Munich duo Zenker Brothers (Dario and Marco) have become revered for their unique, playfully dark brand of techno. Not only that, as champions of act such Stenny, FJAAK, Djrum and the incomparable Skee Mask, the brothers’ impeccable taste is never in question.
The duo have the opening track on a brand new compilation forthcoming on fellow Munich label RFR Records. The label’s ‘Bavarian Stallions’ compilation series marks its fourth outing on 20th September.
The comp also features tracks by Jelly3000, Kessel Vale and Steril.
The brothers’ opening gambit ‘Schwirbler’ is a typically fearsome outing, an unrelentingly dark percussive hit with a disorienting, cavernous atmosphere. Check it out below.
