Radio stations Worldwide FM, Refuge Worldwide, more join forces for synchronised Refugee Week broadcasts

Seven radio stations have partnered with the UK-based arts and culture event Refugee Week to host a week of special broadcasts.

Every day between 16th and 22nd June, participating stations will host a two-hour synchronised broadcast featuring "stories of resilience and community support, alongside music and voices that connect us all".  These will include DJ mixes as well talks on topics such as forced migration, the rescue of refugees at sea, and how community projects can support refugees.

Participating stations this year are London's Worldwide FM, Berlin's Refuge Worldwide, Barcelona's RBL, Manila Community Radio, Marseille's Ola Radio, Kyiv's 20ft Radio and Athens' Stegi Radio.

Founded in 1998, Refugee Week is an annual event, which aims to spotlight the contributions to society of refugees. It takes place each year to coincide with World Refugee Day on 20th June.
