Rage Against The Machine Reuniting, Confirmed First Coachella Headliner For 2020

Just one day after My Chemical Romance announced their first reunion show in seven years, Rage Against The Machine has announced a reunion tour after eight years with five shows planned in 2020.

The news came a new Instagram account that has since been verified as legitimate. Forbes confirmed, Wayne Kamemoto, a longtime associate the band just said, “The band’s social media is accurate.”

The band hasn’t played together since their 2011 L.A. Rising show at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Guitarist Tom Morello, drummer Brad Wilk and bassist Tim Commerford teamed with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real for Prophets Of Rage in May 2016. Frontman Zack de la Rocha has also reportedly been working on some solo material, though the last time he released anything was also in 2016.

Two the dates revealed will be at Coachella, confirming them as the first headliners revealed for 2020. It will be interesting to see how the landscape the festival changes with a more punk-centric and divisive headliner.

See the post and all dates below. Tickets will be available here.
