Bumbershoot will go on!
Despite AEG‘s decision to not renew its contract after five years, Seattle’s leading music festival returns in 2020. Even after the 2019 event was immediately followed by rumors its imminent demise. One Reel is working with the music festival to make it happen.
Bumbershoot’s ficial website states:
While the details won’t be announced until early next year, we can tell you this: Everyone at One Reel is excited to usher in a new era for Bumbershoot that embraces the festival’s long legacy multi- generational programming and community participation.
We are currently working with the City Seattle and Seattle Center, to create a new model for Bumbershoot that honors both the festival’s origin and history, while ensuring the festival is sustainable for the long haul.
Last year’s headliners included The Lumineers, Tyler the Creator, Rezz and Louis the Child.
Bumbershoot 2020 goes down over Labor Day weekend, September 4 – 6.
