A Ugandan DJ was reportedly killed by members the gang whereas enjoying a set at a disco corridor. The violence occurred days in the past within the nation’s Akworo Sub-county within the Nebbi District.
According to the report, a mob offended revelers attacked the DJ, identify Jerry Okirwoth, when he refused to play their favourite music, calling it “boring.” The institution’s administration staff has been blamed for failing to guard the DJ.
Nebbi Resident District Commissioner William Bob Labeja addressed the general public regarding the startling act violence:
As the top safety within the district, I'll now not enable any disco operators to conduct their companies within the sub-county and anyone who defies the directive can be prosecuted. All disco halls in all sub counties should be closed as a result of they're inflicting insecurity and redundancy among the many youth.”
Violence apparently runs rampant within the space. Labeja stated there have been stories 5 different folks killed within the district over the previous week.
