REPORT: "Wireless" iPhones with No Lightning Port Coming 2021

On the heels Apple‘s latest iPhone launch we’re hearing the new OLED models in the works for 2020 and iPhones without a Lightning port in 2021.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is gearing up for a 5.4-inch, two 6.1-inch, and a 6.7-inch OLED iPhone models in 2020. Screen sizes and camera technology are the main differences between the three. In addition, Apple is rumored to release a 4.7-inch iPhone SE 2 with LCD display. That’s five new models total.

Even more interestingly, Apple has plans to move away from its signature Lightning port in 2021, also according to Kuo. She believes the year will bring a follow up to the iPhone SE 2 (what she calls the iPhone SE 2 Plus) and an iPhone with no Lightning connectivity to provide a “completely wireless experience.”

One thing is for sure — the lineup iPhones is becoming more and more diverse.
