Riverside Music Festival Delivers as Quebec's Best End of Summer Festival

We are still trying to process the sheer epicness that was the sixth edition Riverside Festival in Gatineau, Quebec! EDMTunes saw it as the best festival to close f the summer in the Capital. Our team had the incredible opportunity to cover the event and cannot wait to tell our readers what went down on September 8 and 9. Before we dive in, we want to take a moment to thank the hardworking team behind the fest’ for their undeniably admirable organization, time, and ultimately, the passion that they poured into every aspect the event. Let’s jump right in!

On a brisk afternoon in the stunning grounds the Canadian Museum History, partygoers began to flock to live up all the exciting elements that the festival had to fer.

We decided to begin our journey by trying out one the Beachclub‘s (festival partner) highly talked about new alcoholic beverage line, Beach Day Every Day. After sampling the two different flavors, we can now see why these 6.5% beverages are a crowd favorite. We highly recommend trying them out – especially during a hot summer day!

Speaking after-parties, the Capital was treated to another ficial event on Saturday, hosted by Barrymore’s Music HallKHAØS, a very talented local DJ, set the mood before the dynamic Slushii took the stage. We heard that the ‘Without You‘ artist through down just as hard as he did on the festival grounds, dropping classics like ‘Bohemian Rhapsody‘ and ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies‘ expertly mixed in with his own tracks.

The performances were hands-down top-notch! Although it’s difficult to put into words how incredible they truly were, we cannot express how much we genuinely enjoyed all them–every set fered something distinct and special.

The daily set times were exceptionally planned, fering a great flow with everything from big room house, progressive house, pop to dubstep, bass, hardstyle, trap, and even vomitstep. Check out the daily lineup:

Jumping into day two, the very talented Downlink and Figure teamed up for a historic B2B set. This B2B was the first its kind and without any doubt, delivered an impressively charged dubstep performance. Many the audience’s necks are probably still recovering from this set!

Bass-enthusiasts held down their spot at the rail to headbang to some incredibly filthy performances by the impeccably skilled Kayzo and Snails. The crowd went wild as they heard chart-topping tracks such as ‘Whistle Wars (YULTRON Remix)’, ‘Shake The Ground‘, ‘Forever‘ ‘Deep In The Night‘, among many more.

Before the bass was unleashed, partygoers were captivated by Deorro’s melodic set which ended with, you guessed it, ‘Five Hours‘. There wasn’t one attendee who wasn’t grooving to this classic tune!

The entire weekend fered something special for all that attended. Whether you enjoyed making kandi at the Kandi World tent, testing out the games, dancing the night away to some your favorite artists, snacking on the delicious food, or simply living in the moment with your friends, there is no doubt that this year’s edition was the best one yet. It has been an absolute pleasure seeing this fest’ grow from day one and we truly can’t wait to see what they will have in store for next year! Thank you for having us.
