RL Grime recently won the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am along with partner Airwaks — and now we know where that prize money is going!
The producer has chosen to donate 1 million dollars to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The mission the ACLU is “to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws the United States.”
These wildly popular Fortnite tournaments are not only fun to watch, they’re put on for great causes. Millions dollars worth prizes are handed out to charities the winners’ choice, like in this case.
Mad respect for RL Grime and everyone else who participated in the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am to raise money for charitable organizations such as this. As RL says, it’s “actually insane.”
Read his tweet and check out their winning moment below!
actually insane that over two separate days I was able to play a video game and win a million dollars for the @ACLU
