Selections: Liquid Earth

Liquid Earth’s productions and DJ sets contain all the balmy, late-night NRG you’d expect and more from an artist raised in Cali, and based between Berlin and Barcelona. His latest EP for Secretsundaze’s 9FINITY imprint, ‘Adventures Of Handy Boy’, is summer bottled, running the gamut from wiggly tech house and slamming breaks through to trance, electro, and groove-laden minimal, all refracted through a vintage lens.

The five-tracker found fans in the likes of Ben UFO, Peach, BASHKKA and Alex Kassian, and sent punters into a track ID tailspin during Liquid Earth’s recent run of shows stateside, featuring stops at New York’s Public Records (b2b Mari.te), floyd Miami, and Re:Set Boston. “Amidst the chaos and complexities of American politics the dancers stand resilient,” the artist – real name Taylor Freels – shared on Instagram, alongside a note that a portion of the touring fees were to be donated to local US nonprofits and land trusts (specific to land conservation and queer social work).

As the summer heats up, Liquid Earth is taking his (fun)ctional club sounds on the road once again, with upcoming June shows at Paris’ Cabaret Sauvage alongside Camion Bazar, Dawidu, El Hey and more, and Barcelona’s open-air fiesta, Output Festival. Later this year, he’ll return to Tisno favourite Dimensions — where the DJ has been a line-up staple since 2021 — with a record bag of fresh house heat in tow. Check out his full summer tour calendar here.

Liquid Earth’s Selections embody all the energies you can expect from his DJ sets, from new-school house gems and “guilty slingers”, to ’90s prog heaters, chunky trance, and much more. Dive in below.
