A ongoing project dear to Skrillex‘s heart is finally coming to fruition…
The producer just announced that a new production school in Langa, Cape Town in South Africa is ficially open. This comes after years working closely with Bridges for Music on the vision.
Skrillex and his imprint OWSLA first partnered up with Bridges for Music in 2012. From there, the producer and his team curated events, meet and greets, giveaways and more to raise money for the school’s construction. In 2015, he donated equipment to the music program, with funds from his Full Flex Express run going directly to the future school.
Today, Skrillex is happy to share news the ficial opening. He reflects in the tweet below, “In 2012 we started building a music production school Langa South Africa with @bridgesformusic. its 2019 now and the dream is alive.”
Skrillex stays dedicated to inspiring positive change through music and education. This is only the beginning.
