Smash Mouth Just Released A Massive Official EDM Remix for "All Star" and… Just Listen

I think it’s safe to say that “All Star” by Smash Mouth was a major part any ’90s kid’s life. Originally released in 1999, the song is most famously featured in 2001’s “Shrek,” but has been used in dozens other movies. Smash Mouth themselves have become a bit a meme over the years, even beyond the auspices the song itself. Now, Interscope/UMe is celebrating the 20th anniversary the seminal classic with today’s release a new remix by electronic duo Breathe Carolina.

It might seem hard to believe, but there has never once been a commissioned “ficial” remix the single… until now.

“Over the years, it seems like hundreds remixes ‘All Star’ have emerged, and we as a band are flattered and grateful for the love and attention,” said Smash Mouth. “We have not commissioned an ‘ficial’ remix to celebrate the 20th anniversary our hit ‘All Star’… Until now. We are very excited to have such a great artist like Breathe Carolina create this very fresh and inspiring ficial remix for us. We are big fans this duo and absolutely love their take on our biggest hit. Please take a listen as we know you will love it, too…”

The remix is a bright and poppy interpretation, with whistles galore and a deep house vibe. It’s a brand new way to enjoy this classic that is sure to go f in live sets. Check it out below.
