Soulwax have announced a new album, ‘All Systems Are Lying’.
Brothers Stephen and David Dewaele confirmed the release of their first album in seven years with a new double A-side single, ‘All Systems Are Lying’ / ‘Run Free’. Listen to both tracks below.
Soulwax have described the release as “a rock album made without any electric guitars”. Instead, it has been made entirely using modular synths, live drums, tape machines and processed vocals.
“We wanted to capture the feeling of a band playing electronic instruments — live, loud and loose,” the duo said. “This record is the result of that experiment.”
The LP will be released on 17th October via DEEWEE, the record label founded by the Dewaele brothers.
Last year, Soulwax debuted several new tracks at a series of UK and European shows, including ‘Hot Like Sahara’, ‘New Earth Time’ and ‘Polaris’. The pair also soundtracked a Netflix film starring Vincent Cassel titled Banger.
