SoundCloud has reversed its decision to instate upload limits after users sounded f strongly against them.
In a recent email that declared “lossless HD storage and downloads to all,” SoundCloud also snuck in a new policy. “Starting December 9th, our free upload limit will change from 3 hours audio, to 3 hours or 15 tracks. ”
Considering many creators have already hit that mark or are nearing it, the only option for more space would have been SoundCloud’s “Pro Unlimited” program for about $12 – $16 per month. Thankfully, the platform has decided to not move forward with that plan after massive backlash from users.
SoundCloud says in a new statement: “Our mission is to empower you with the best tools to build and grow your career on your own terms, and to foster a community where creativity can thrive.”
“So keep it coming. Tell us what you think, what you want, and what you need. We are here, listening.”
We heard you. Upload limits are not changing on December 9. Read more from us here: https://t.co/1Rl5AsCZ3E
