Swedish House Mafia’s new single, ‘Wait So Long’, drops next week

Swedish House Mafia have shared details of their new single, ‘Wait So Long’, dropping next week.

One day after wiping their social media pages and teasing a new project on the horizon, the trio of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello have announced their first new music of 2025. The news was shared yesterday (Thursday, 12th June) on the group’s Instagram alongside a short snippet of the forthcoming single, titled ‘Wait So Long’.

The track is slated for release on 20th June ahead of Swedish House Mafia’s much-anticipated return to the main stage at Tomorrowland next month. Though it’s not yet clear whether ‘Wait So Long’ will form part of a larger release, many fans have speculated that the trio are signalling the beginning of a new album era following 2022’s ‘Paradise Again’.

A significant success for the trio, that record marked their full return to touring as they headed out on their first global run of shows in almost a decade.

The group have been hinting for some time that a follow-up album was on the way. In July last year, during his set with Sebastian Ingrosso at Tomorrowland, Steve Angello introduced the SHM single ‘Ray Of Solar’ by saying: “This is coming on an album we’re dropping later this summer.”

In April, Swedish House Mafia launched new label SUPERHUMAN, while two-thirds of the trio, Ingrosso and Angello, released the single ‘No Enemies’.
