The Specials’ last filmed show with late frontman Terry Hall to be broadcast this week

The last filmed live show performed by The Specials with the band's late frontman, Terry Hall, is due to air on TV this week. 

'The Specials: Live From Coventry Cathedral' captures homecoming leg of a the legendary ska outfit's mammoth 40th anniversary tour in 2019. Lead singer and chief songwriter Hall would sadly lose a battle with pancreatic cancer three years later, aged 63, just months after the group's final ever performance at Beautiful Days Festival, Devon.

Sky Arts will now screen the full Coventry concert at 9PM UK time on Friday 20th December 2024. One of four consecutive nights The Specials played at the landmark venue, surviving members explained the significance of the dates on social media, labelling Coventry as "the city where two-tone was born".
