Last week, we almost lost an amazing and incredibly talented artist.
New York-based singer/songwriter Two Feet (born Zachary William “Bill” Dess), alarmed fans with what he referred to as a Twitter “suicide note,” captioned “goodbye.” In the tweet, the singer, who was supposed to play Lollapalooza in Chicago this past weekend, wrote:
The post heavily impacted the music community. Thousands artists and fans commented on the post, trying to change his mind and reverse his decision. After a few hours, Two Feet’s father posted to the Twitter account. He stated that the artist went to a hospital and would be okay.
Yesterday, Two Feet broke his silence and left a heartfelt message to his friends and fans about the situation. He shared that he Two Feet left the hospital and that his suicidal tendencies were from being heavily under the influence drugs. He is currently seeking help and advocates for others to not feel embarrassed or ashamed to do so.
Two Feet went viral in 2017 when his song ‘Go F*** Yourself‘ racked four million streams overnight. He signed on to Republic Records, sharing a label with James Blake, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd. His most recent single, ‘I Feel Like I’m Drowning‘ reached number one on the US Alternative Chart.
