Zedd Ties The Chainsmokers with New Chart-Topping Record [Details]

We’ve heard a lot new music this summer, but meanwhile Zedd has been high key tearing up the charts. His megahit “The Middle” with Grey and Maren Morris just tied the record for most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and there’s no slowing down in sight.

The week dated for August 11 marks the 27th time the single has locked in the top spot. The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” with Halsey shares the record as the only other release to accomplish that feat on this particular chart.

Avicii’s “Wake Me Up!” follows with 26 total frames at No.1 back in 2013 through 2014. So, these artists are all in great company.

The Chainsmokers are still on a crazy hit streak, too. “Side Effects” makes its debut at No. 17 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs as their 18th entry. With this, the duo inches closer to Calvin Harris’ record 19 in the chart’s five-year history.

Congrats to Zedd and others making these huge moves right now!
