Ryan Mansour is expected to plead guilty to a felony battery charge for driving over his girlfriend, who attended Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas this year.
According to multiple reports, she went to EDC against his wishes, but he found her photos from the festival on Instagram. He left work to confront her and the two fought inside his car in the northwest valley before she stepped outside the vehicle. That’s when he ran her over with his 2018 Hyundai Elantra, but it was unclear whether Mansour intended to do so or not.
Mansour, 20, is currently out on a $25,000 bail. He revealed to a judge Monday that he would plead guilty to battery with substantial bodily harm, along with a misdemeanor domestic violence charge. The felony is punishable by up to five years in prison, but could be reduced to a misdemeanor.
The defendant’s attorney, Gabriel Grasso, said Mansour has always maintained he didn’t intentionally drive over his girlfriend. She has since been released from the hospital and is still unsure whether he meant to do her harm.
Mansour previously faced an attempted murder charge for the incident.
