Disneyland Visitor Takes LSD And Vanishes From Park, Found Naked A Mile Away After Huge Search Party

Disneyland is supposedly the happiest place on Earth. That, however, doesn’t imply a ceiling on how much happiness you can achieve. Some people choose to augment their experience at the parks with some psychedelics, like LSD or mushrooms. The key, in those instances, is knowing how to comport oneself.

A 32-year-old Swiss man visiting Disneyland Paris clearly did not.

Reports Le Parisien, the man and his girlfriend visited the park last Friday. The girlfriend told authorities she saw him fall into Adventureland Lake and didn’t surface, prompting her to fear for the worst. A search party comprising 130 people, 30 firefighters, 10 divers, 10 policemen, 80 Disneyland Paris employees, and a helicopter with thermal imaging was formed to search for the man.

He apparently wasn’t found until 1 a.m. the following morning, a mile away from the park, covered in scratches, naked, with no memory what had happened.

“At first I was worried and then I saw that he was lost,” said the man who found him. “He did not speak French. I think it’s a German Swiss. We spoke in English. He told me that he had made a bet with friends, that he had taken LSD and that his girlfriend had to worry. I fered to call him but he did not remember his number. He had scratches on his legs and arms. He did not remember anything.”

The Swiss man and his girlfriend were detained by the local police for narcotics use and released Saturday afternoon.

Miraculously, the massive search effort apparently had no impact on visitors or their experience at the park on Friday.
