BREAKING: Venue Pulls The Plug On Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival

For all the nostalgia that it carries, Woodstock 50 has not had an easy time. After a variety issues from artists to fan reception to funding, the festival was finally able to secure emergency funding three weeks ago thanks to  the Oppenheimer & Co. brokerage and investment bank.

Now, however, the festival is faced with another issue at least on par with losing its funding: it just lost its venue.

According to a statement released by the venue today, “Watkins Glen International terminated the site license for Woodstock pursuant to provisions the contract. As such, WGI will not be hosting the Woodstock 50 Festival.”

Which provisions the contract isn’t known at this time, but suffice it to say, the festival and founder Michael Lang need another miracle.

This is a developing story…
