A David Guetta remix “Heaven” by Avicii has been rumored for quite some time, but the French producer finally revealed yesterday that it was coming.
I’ve wanted to do something to honor Avicii for quite a long time, but was waiting for the right moment. After I heard ‘Heaven’ for the first time I was blown away by the sound, the lyrics and the vocals from Chris Martin. What makes it extra special is that Chris Martin has always been a big inspiration with Coldplay for both Tim and myself. That’s why it felt like the right moment for me to make a remix this track as a tribute to Tim.
The remix, out today with MORTEN, is one fit for the main stage. It’s meant to be enjoyed with your arms around the ones you love, eyes looking up to the sky, maybe even tears rolling down your face… Avicii’s “Heaven” is easily one the more emotional songs out on his posthumous album TIM, especially knowing the circumstances his death.
Guetta and Avicii were longtime friends, it’s only right that he honor his friend with a beautiful piece music. Check it out below.
