GRiZ Helps Raise $18,000 for LGBTQ Organization by Playing Fortnite Live

The numbers are in and GRiZ & DrLupo‘s Fortnite livestream Twitch managed to raise $18,000 for The Trevor Project and brought in 280,000 viewers.

The DJ/producer and pro gamer duo literally just played Fortnite along with other gamers to raise money for the cause. Dance music and gaming continues to go hand in hand. Meanwhile, influencers like GRiZ and DrLupo are working that phenomenon for the greater good — it’s absolutely amazing to watch collaborations like this play out.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, biual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people.

DrLupo revealed to Billboard, “I’ve been a fan Griz’s music for a while. On top that, the opportunity to play with someone like Griz for a good cause seemed like a no brainer. Always a fan doing good.”
