Jaron is one my new obsessions in 2019 — I know it’s weird to be obsessed with a 17-year-old, but bear with me. No 17-year-old should logically be able to create music with this much inherent life experience and emotion, and yet here we are. With his new song “Catch” out today, once again I find myself with my jaw on the floor and a craving for more.
“Catch” features Jaron’s own vocals, as well as original writing and production. Not that that’s any different from his other tracks, I just wanted to remind you that a 17-year-old did this. It’s a brilliant cross section chill li and future bass spliced together into a beautiful amalgam. With st, acoustic guitar chords reverberating through the speakers and hardly any percussion at all in the whole track, it’s carried almost entirely by the melody. Again… seventeen years old.
I continue to be blown away by the skill and creativity that Jaron shows. And after finally seeing him perform live just three weeks ago, I’m convinced that he has a very bright future ahead him. Listen to “Catch” below.
