At this point, we all know who Marshmello is, but just like we don't tell nine-year-olds that Santa Claus isn't real, we all play along with the joke. Two years ago at EDC Las Vegas Marshmello trolled the crowd when he removed “his” helmet – only to have Tiesto hiding underneath. The next year Marshmello doubled down to reveal Will Farrell hiding under the helmet, now as 2018 begins to wind down Marshmello has once again trolled the world.
At the iHeartRadio MMVA's this evening, Marshmello took home a pretty big honor. As he walked out to collect his prize, there was a pause, before a shocking helmet removal. Of course, it was yet another troll – this time revealing Shawn Mendes. The duo appears to have had this planned for quite some time.
