Bose & Amazon Team Up For Super High Quality Smart Speaker Line

Bose is giving Sonos a run for its money with an all-new Alexa-powered smart speaker and soundbars.

Amazon‘s popular voice assistant is about to take over the new line Bose devices, and she can hear better than ever. Each speaker comes equipped with an eight-microphone setup ideal for picking up your voice even from far away or in particularly loud settings.

It gets even better. Bose is promising “the widest soundstage any smart speaker available today.”

If you want this top notch sound for your home it’s going to cost you a pretty penny. The Bose Home Speaker 500 could be yours for $400. The Bose Soundbar 700 will set you back $800 — but on the upside, it’s sole purpose is to outperform every other product in its category. The smaller, thinner Soundbar 500 will run you $550.

But, as Bose Consumer Electronics Division Manager Doug Cunningham clarifies, just one these devices will do the trick. “All our new smart speakers double up on functionality,” he says. “It takes just one Home Speaker 500 to deliver true stereo separation — there’s no need to pair two. Our Soundbar 700 and 500 are thin and discreet with jaw-dropping surround sound — whether you’re streaming Spotify or watching a movie.”

The Bose smart speaker and soundbars will be available starting this October.
